Job Shadow

Directory » Job Shadow

Yearlong program based at Morgan, which matches 11th graders with a real-world experience in a career of their choice.

Offering every 11th grader the opportunity for one job shadow experience.

This program is for all 11th graders at Morgan. To participate, they must take the Job Shadow survey when offered in the fall and report for all scheduled meetings with JS Coordinator afterwards.

By participating, students can:

  • Leave the school building for a one-time field trip to meet and shadow a professional working in their dream career (when on-site shadowing isn’t possible, students meet with the professional at Morgan or on Zoom).
  • Learn about life on the job, education requirements, and salary expectations for their intended career path.
  • Start making connections between choices at high school and future employment.
  • Receive some introductory vocational guidance assistance.

Our host partners include: Yale University, Shoreline Animal Hospital, Mackinstry Financial, Stimilon, Connecticut College, University of New Haven, and many more.
